TEXAS BBQ BURGER WITH SMOKY BACON AND MELTED CHEDDAR

Ingredients

For the Burgers

  • 1½ lb (680 g) ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 burger buns

Toppings

  • 8 slices bacon, cooked
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup crispy onion rings
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce
  • Lettuce leaves
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • Dill pickle slices

Instructions

  1. Divide the beef into 4 equal patties.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Grill or cook on a hot skillet for 4–5 minutes per side.
  4. Add cheddar cheese during the last minute and allow it to melt.
  5. Toast the burger buns until lightly golden.
  6. Spread BBQ sauce on the bottom bun.
  7. Add lettuce and the burger patty.
  8. Top with bacon, onion rings, tomato slices, and pickles.
  9. Drizzle with additional BBQ sauce.
