Ingredients

  • 170 g (6 oz) dark chocolate, chopped
  • 115 g (½ cup) unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Grease 4 ramekins with butter and lightly dust with cocoa powder.
  3. Melt the chocolate and butter together until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until light and slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Add the melted chocolate mixture and whisk until combined.
  7. Fold in flour and salt.
  8. Divide the batter evenly among the ramekins.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are set but the center remains soft.
  10. Let stand for 1 minute.
  11. Carefully invert onto serving plates.
  12. Dust with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
