EASY KOREAN GROUND BEEF BOWLS WITH GARLIC SOY SAUCE

These Korean Ground Beef Bowls are a quick and flavorful weeknight dinner made with savory ground beef, garlic, soy sauce, and a touch of sweetness. Served over fluffy rice and topped with fresh green onions and sesame seeds, this easy 20-minute recipe is perfect for busy nights and meal prep.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450 g) lean ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked jasmine rice
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Optional: steamed broccoli, shredded carrots, cucumber, kimchi

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ginger, and black pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Divide cooked rice among bowls.
  6. Top with the Korean beef mixture.
