ULTIMATE CREAMY SEAFOOD BREAD BOWL WITH FRESH SUMMER FLAVORS

Loaded with juicy shrimp, tender scallops, and a rich garlic Parmesan cream sauce, this Creamy Seafood Bread Bowl is the ultimate comfort food. Served inside a crusty artisan bread bowl and finished with fresh herbs, every bite is packed with incredible flavor.

Ingredients

Seafood Filling

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ lb (225 g) sea scallops
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup seafood broth or chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Bread Bowls

  • 4 small round sourdough bread bowls
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the tops off the bread bowls and hollow out the centers, leaving a thick shell.
  2. Brush the inside lightly with olive oil.
  3. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes until lightly crisp.
  4. Meanwhile, season shrimp and scallops with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Sear scallops for 2 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
  7. Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side. Remove.
  8. In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  9. Pour in broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
  10. Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  11. Stir until smooth and creamy.
  12. Return seafood to the skillet and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  13. Stir in fresh parsley.
  14. Spoon the creamy seafood mixture into the toasted bread bowls.
  15. Garnish with extra parsley and Parmesan.
  16. Serve immediately while hot.
