Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup sliced almonds, lightly toasted
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth or seafood broth
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Crusty bread, for serving
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the toasted almonds and cook for another minute.
- Pour in the broth and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stir until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and simmer for 3–4 minutes until fully cooked and coated in the sauce.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and additional toasted almonds.
- Serve immediately with warm crusty bread for dipping into the creamy broth.
