Garlic Lime Shrimp Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 8 small tortillas
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Creamy Taco Sauce

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch of paprika

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, garlic, paprika, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, and lime juice.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
  3. In a small bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients until smooth.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet.
  5. Fill each tortilla with lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and cooked shrimp.
  6. Drizzle generously with the creamy sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lime wedges.
