Ingredients
- 8 cups popped popcorn
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
Instructions
- Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl.
- In a saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, and salt.
- Bring to a gentle boil for 3–4 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. The mixture will become foamy.
- Pour the caramel over the popcorn and toss until evenly coated.
