Honey Fig & Prosciutto Puff Pastry Delight

Flaky golden puff pastry filled with creamy melted cheese, sweet figs, delicate prosciutto, and a drizzle of warm honey. Finished with fresh arugula for a touch of freshness, this elegant appetizer combines sweet, salty, creamy, and crispy flavors in every irresistible bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 6 fresh figs, sliced
  • 100 g prosciutto
  • 150 g brie or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 handful arugula (rocket)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Fresh thyme
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and place on a baking sheet.
  3. Add slices of brie or mozzarella in the center.
  4. Layer with prosciutto and figs.
  5. Fold and shape into a round pastry.
  6. Brush with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven and drizzle generously with honey.
  9. Top with fresh arugula and thyme.
  10. Serve warm while the cheese is still melty.
