Homemade Yogurt Ingredients

  • 1 liter (4 cups) whole milk
  • 2 tbsp plain yogurt with live cultures (starter yogurt)

Optional Toppings

  • Chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Heat the milk until it reaches 180°F (82°C).
  2. Let it cool to 110°F (43°C).
  3. Mix a small amount of the warm milk with the plain yogurt.
  4. Stir the mixture back into the remaining milk.
  5. Pour into glass jars.
  6. Cover and keep warm for 6–8 hours or overnight.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
